I Soft-Bricked my phone :(

OMG...! As in Oh My Goodness!

My mobile OS firmware is 4.1.2 Android Jell Bean but I really really wanted to upgrade it so..

Here's the story ;) Hahaha

Trying to update my phone to its latest firmware Android Operating System 4.2.2 Jelly Bean, I soft bricked my phone. :(

It stared when I read some information from XDA forum and other Android community forum that the latest Operating System is already available.

I installed applications that will be needed in upgrading like Odin, TWRP, Titanium Back Up, Clock World Recovery and etc.. (Some are useful in flashing new Read Only Memory - ROMs)

After backing up my phone (I thought that I did back it all up!) hehe - I realized that I only created a back up for User applications (the least useless).

This is sooooo soooo wrong. Super made a mistake.

I should have backed up all the System applications and User applications.

And then.. Tarannnn!!!

My mobile is now dead :)

It became useless and I am so anxious to recover it. Waaaaa!

I misconfigured and corrupted my firmware.

I messed up. huhuhuhu

It didn't boot and only shows the Samsung LOGO (Funny, I memorized every letter and  the font used by Samsung because of this, nyahaha!)

Well, I tried to unbrick my phone by accessing the Download mode by pressing Volume Down + Home + Power.

Well, it is already back to normal after doing a software update via Samsung Kies but I am still dissapointed because I didn't finish my update to OS 4.2.2. Hayyy...

Atleast, it didn't become a defective mobile and lost its usefulness. (Hmm.. that's the worst if that happened!)

Haha..

I won't do a software upgrade again? ;)

Another techie experience. ;)

Thank You LORD ;)

Inspire Me ;)

Today's Quotation:

Friendship with oneself is all important, because without it one cannot be friends with anyone else in the world.

Eleanor Roosevelt

Today's Meditation:

In theory, being a friend to ourselves sounds like a fairly easy thing to do. But in practice, we often find the saying, "I am my own worst enemy," to be applicable in our lives. Many of us frequently attack ourselves for any shortcomings we have, anything we did wrong, or challenges in which we did not live up to--often times being rather merciless with ourselves. In situations like this I find myself stuck in a rut--things will not happen in my life because of the ways that I think about myself, and I think about myself in these ways because things are not happening in my life.

There is a song by Newsboys in which they sing "This is your life, treat yourself right, Treat others right, live like you know you should, This is life, fight the good fight, Fight for what's right, do what you know you should." They obviously understand the importance of valuing and treating oneself right--for it is important to make sure that we are willing to make sacrifices in order to treat ourselves as a friend, just as we would make sacrifices for our friends.

Our friendship with our self opens the doors to other friendships. When we treat our self well, we know what it means to be treated well and can thus treat others in a similar way, as they deserve to be treated. Jesus of Nazareth put it quite simply: Love others as you love yourself. Eleanor says you cannot be friends with others if you cannot be friends with yourself, and Jesus implied that you cannot love others unless you love yourself. Thus it really all comes down to common sense--people are unable to give to others something they do not know themselves.

What can you do for yourself? How can you be kinder, more sympathetic, and more compassionate to yourself? Why are you waiting...

Questions to consider:

Why does it sound so strange to talk about being friends "with ourselves"?

What kinds of things will we do for ourselves if we actually treat ourselves as friends? Why do we tend not to do such things more often?

Why are so few people willing or able to teach us about the value of being friends with ourselves?

For further thought:

When we don't love ourselves unconditionally, the limited, judgmental, conditional love we give ourselves is all we have to give anyone. When we see ourselves as flawed, we also see others as flawed.
