Alright, so I have this yearly “treat myself” tradition wherein I would just go to any places I haven’t visited with my family and friends. Taking time out, relaxing, and just wandering to keep my sanity and develop a better wide world view.
I am from the Southern Province of Batangas, Tanauan City to be exact, where the Taal Volcano, one of the most active volcanoes in the Philippines is located.
Before 2019 ends, I booked a flight from Manila International Airport to Mactan-Cebu Internal Airport as my birthday present for my sister Myla and nephew Jacob. Why not, they have the same birthday (January 16). My goal is not just to celebrate with them but also to fulfill their wish (my parents included) to ride an airplane.
So there, their wish is my command :) Everything is set. Return flight details, Airbnb bookings, land and sea transportation food preparation were all good.
We departed on January 14, it was an hour short, but exciting plane ride for all of us.
Back then, I’m just praying and wishing the best experience for my family.
In just 6 days and 5 nights, we’re all able to explore Cebu City and Bohol.
We all had fun and the below photos tell it all.
BOHOL!!!
We arrived on January 19, the whole family stayed in our house in Mandaluyong City, (a 3-hour ride from Batangas) as the volcano still releasing its anger.
After a few weeks, my family went back to Batangas, and then, the Department of Health reported the first case of Corona Virus disease in the Philippines On the 30th of January.
This all happens before the Taal Volcano Eruption and the widespread of the Corona Virus Pandemic.
Advance Birthday to me! :) Thank you Lord for always keeping us safe!
Love,
Tine-Tine :)
